EnBW rejects longer terms for nuclear power plants: “No Märklin railway” – economy

Interviewed by

Caspar Busse and Christina Kunkel

Georg Stamatelopoulos, 52, shivers a little, he’s wearing a scarf over his jacket. It’s cool in the conference room on the top floor of the EnBW building in Stuttgart, just under 19 degrees. Stamatelopoulos, born in Athens in 1970, has been working for EnBW, one of the largest energy companies in Germany, since 2010. Since 2021 he has been on the Board of Management responsible for the entire energy production of the group. The view from the windows stretches far over the city, a beautiful view – but there is no wind turbine to be found anywhere.
