Elon Musk announces the Twitter bird

WIf Elon Musk is serious, the Twitter logo will soon be history. The head of the short message service wrote on Twitter on Sunday morning that he wanted to give up the Twitter logo soon. He wants to “finally get rid of” the blue bird, which has been the service’s trademark for a long time.

Musk wrote, “Soon we will be saying goodbye to the Twitter brand and eventually to all birds.”

The billionaire then tweeted a shimmering image of an X, after previously saying, “If an X logo is posted tonight that’s good enough, we’ll make it live worldwide tomorrow.”

Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion last October and merged the company into a company called X Corp. The tech billionaire has laid off around half its workforce to cut costs while also beginning to transform the online service. For example, there are various functions that are no longer free. The debate about the blue tick, which stands for verified users, was also turbulent.
