POLITICS – Friend, not friend? The question does not seem so simple. Former Prime Minister Édouard Philippe was interviewed this Sunday September 10 on seven to eight by Audrey Crespo-Mara, as part of the section Portrait of the week. Asked in particular about his political comeback which will take place next Friday, the former Prime Minister (May 2017 to July 2020) also mentioned his relationship with Emmanuel Macron.
The latter called him a “friend” on July 25 and the journalist wanted to know more about their relationship, especially if the now boss of the Horizons party shared this affection for the president. But the mayor of Le Havre kicked in.
“He is the President of the Republic, I am the president of a political party, Horizons. I am the mayor of a big city. And I’m trying to make my country better.”he first declared.

Determined to “feed public debate” and “conquer power democratically” with Horizons, Édouard Philippe said ” conciliate “ a “great determination” with a “very patient” with a view to the 2027 presidential election, while ironizing about the “predictive value” polls which put him in a very good position.
