In the Dachau town hall on Tuesday, there was a lack of seating at bus stops and disinfectant dispensers in public buildings when Berkay Kengeroglu spoke up. The 22-year-old SPD city councilor calls for a minute’s silence for the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. Everyone rises. Kengeroglu has family in the affected region himself. In an interview with the SZ Dachau he talks about how he is dealing with the catastrophe.
