E-cars – no absurdly high funding – economy

In the debate about more climate protection on the roads, Federal Transport Minister Volker Wissing rejected a significant increase in the purchase premium for electric cars. He ruled out “that we introduce an absurdly high subsidy for the purchase of electric vehicles,” said the FDP politician Deutschlandfunk. He emphasized that he would like to achieve the switch to climate-neutral mobility through market-based incentives. Wissing also expressly ruled out introducing a scrapping premium. Wissing made it clear that he was not planning a higher e-mobility premium. Environmental organizations previously warned against relying on higher and longer purchase premiums.
