Long before the electrification of cars was talked about, individual bicycle manufacturers had already opted for electric drives. According to the industry association ZIV, the share of pedelecs – that is, bikes that are equipped with an additional electric motor for pedaling assistance – is a little more than 40 percent of the total market in Germany. So-called SUV bikes are particularly popular: bikes that offer a lot of comfort and can be used for almost all paths and in almost any terrain. Representatives of this type are two new bikes from the two manufacturers Trenoli and Victoria, the Trenoli Tanaro Sportivo and the Victoria eAdventure 11.9.
