Dutch retailer leaks first details

A Dutch dealer has apparently the new DJI mini 3 Pro leaked, giving the corresponding product page put it online ahead of time and thus gave an outlook on the design and the most important specs of the drone.

Unfortunately, there is not much left of the page content in the meantime, so the reaction was probably quick. The leaked information promises at least a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with support for HDR video, video recording in 4K at 60 fps (1080p at 120 fps), also photos in 48 MP RAW and the collision avoidance system APAS 4.0.

According to the site, the device with RC1 N1 controller should cost 829 euros, and the weight is again 249 grams. The camera of the drone should also be able to be rotated by 90 degrees for better compatibility with current media formats, so that vertical images and videos can then be taken can record.

The camera’s aperture has a fixed value of f/1.7 and the pixel size is 2.4 micrometers. You can also take 180-degree, wide-angle, vertical, and spherical panoramas with the DJI mini 3 Pro. There is also a 4x digital zoom, APAS 4.0 for obstacle avoidance, ActiveTrack 4.0, Spotlight 2.0 and Point of Interest 3.0. All these functions are summarized here under the name FocusTrack.

The battery promises flight times of up to 34 minutes. A larger battery is also available as an option, which then offers up to 47 minutes, but then brings the weight of the drone to over 250 grams and thus changes the legal situation when uninvolved third parties fly over it. The controller is connected via the O3 protocol, allowing ranges of several kilometers. The live camera image is transmitted in 1,080p at 30 fps. The delay (latency) is 120 ms. It is currently assumed that DJI will announce the new drone in May and that we will then actually receive official information.
