Bad Essen (Lower Saxony) – He is back!

On Tuesday evening, SOKO “Dustin” investigators, with the support of the Bavarian police, found 11-year-old Dustin H. from Bad Essen (district of Osnabrück) who had been missing for over seven weeks in an apartment in Bad Bocklet, Lower Franconia (district of Bad Kissingen).

The background to the disappearance is still being clarified. Dustin was handed over to the responsible youth welfare office on site.

▶ The boy left the child and youth welfare facility in Bad Essen on September 28 at around 7.15 a.m. He wanted to go to school by bike – but didn’t get there. The child has been missing since then.

Several large search operations in the Osnabrück district, in which sniffer dogs were also used, were initially unsuccessful. The boy could not be found.

Since the boy originally comes from the Würzburg area and has a family relationship with Eußenheim in Bavaria, the police searched there from the start. This search has now led to success.
