Due to water damage: Moving into the St. Benedikt kindergarten delayed – Ebersberg

It will be a while before children can attend the Sankt Benedikt kindergarten in Ebersberg again: the work after the water damage is still being delayed. According to a spokeswoman for the archbishop’s office in Munich, the basic renovation has now been completed. The floors are now being laid and the first furniture is being put back in place. When the kindergarten can be used again, however, can only be speculated about. The water damage, according to the spokeswoman, was very serious; In addition, there are problems getting building materials and craftsmen.

In October 2021, a defective hose caused serious damage throughout the kindergarten building on the Hupfauerhöhe. In order to be able to continue to ensure childcare, a bus shuttle was set up: for a year now, the children have been taking the bus with the teachers to Zorneding every morning, where they are cared for in the former AWO kindergarten. Despite this interim solution, new children were admitted to St. Benedikt this year and are currently being settled.
