Due to technical problems: British airspace restricted | News

Britain has restricted traffic in its airspace!

Airlines such as EasyJet and LoganAir are warning their passengers of cancellations and delays, the BBC reports. The reason is said to be a problem with air traffic control. “We are currently experiencing a technical issue and have ordered flight restrictions to maintain safety,” wrote NATS, the nation’s air traffic control organization, in a statement.

Originally, numerous British media reported that the airspace was completely tight. NATS later denied this in a statement. Platforms like “Flightradar24” also show that planes are still taking off in Great Britain.

Even if the bug is fixed quickly, experts reckon that the disruptions in the Air traffic will continue throughout the day.

The news comes on one of the busiest days at UK airports. A long weekend ends today in the UK. Numerous Britons return from their short vacation.

Air traffic control coordinates take-offs and landings at airports. If it fails, there is a risk of accidents.
