Due to a serious illness: Bruce Willis ended his acting career

Hollywood star Bruce Willis ends his acting career due to illness. This was confirmed by his daughter Rumer Willis on Instagram. He suffers from aphasia, a speech disorder.

This message from Hollywood comes as a surprise: “Die Hard” star Bruce Willis ended his career as an actor. The message announces Rumer Willisthe actor’s eldest daughter and Demi Mooreon their Instagram-Profile.

She posts an old picture of her father. “To the wonderful supporters of Bruce Willis, we as a family would like to share that our beloved Bruce has health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia which is affecting his cognitive abilities,” she wrote, “to the wonderful supporters of Bruce Willis,” the post reads. “Because of the diagnosis and a lot of thought, Bruce will end the career that has meant so much to him.”

Aphasia is an acquired language disorder. This can be caused by a lesion, i.e. damage. Aphasia can therefore arise as a result of various diseases, such as a stroke, traumatic brain injury, cerebral hemorrhage or tumors. Why this disease occurred in the Hollywood star has not yet been announced.

“It’s a challenging time for our family”

Rumer’s statement continued: “It is a truly challenging time for our family and we truly appreciate your love, compassion and support. We will get through this as a strong family and wanted to share it with his fans because we know how much they mean to him.”

The post was signed by his wife Emma Hemming-Willis and his ex-partner Demi Moore and children Rumer, Scout and Tallulah, who are from his relationship with Moore. The two children Willis fathered with his current wife, Mabel and Evelyn, are also listed in the post. The actor, who became a worldwide acting star with films like “The Sixth Sense”, “The Fifth Element” or “Armageddon”, can therefore rely on the support of his family.
