Harry and Meghan have a busy schedule on their last day in Nigeria. The Duchess also received congratulations on Mother’s Day.

Prince Harry (39) and Duchess Meghan (42) arrived in Lagos on the last day of their trip to Nigeria. There they were greeted at the airport by, among others, Lagos’ governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu (58), dancers and onlookers, as Simon Perry from the US magazine “People” shows on Instagram. Meghan wore a traditional skirt when she arrived She was therefore previously in Abuja received as a gift, with a white blouse from Carolina Herrera.

Further went to an event the non-profit organization “Giants of Africa”, which serves youth and aims to use basketball to teach life lessons that go beyond the court. Harry and Meghan not only announced a partnership between the organization and their Archewell Foundation, the Duchess was also congratulated on Mother’s Day by former basketball player Masai Ujiri (53), among others. “It’s sometimes hard for us to be away from our children and family to make something like this possible. […] But doing that shows dedication,” he explained.

When will the Invictus Games take place in Nigeria?

The couple also accepted an invitation from Sanwo-Olu in Lagos, which involved a small outfit change. The Duchess appeared at the reception in a charming canary yellow dress, while the Prince apparently stuck to his look with a beige jacket, white shirt and dark trousers. But he also put on a tie, probably to make the outfit a little more formal.

On behalf of everyone in Lagos said the governor happily not only about the presence of Harry and Meghan, but also invited them to return at a later date. He recognized Harry and Meghan’s work as part of the Invictus Games, which the prince founded, and also spoke about when they might be held in Nigeria. Last year the games took place in Germany.

Before Harry and Meghan return to California to see their children, Prince Archie (5) and Princess Lilibet (2), the royals’ visit will end on Sunday with another reception and a polo charity event. For Harry and Meghan, the three-day stay in Nigeria is the first major tour since the two stepped down as senior members of the royal family and moved to the USA in 2020.
