Working in the royal household? Job seekers now have the opportunity to do so. Duchess Kate (40) and Prince William (39) are looking for a personal assistant to the Duchess’ deputy private secretary. According to the job posting is said to support “the official and charitable work of Their Royal Highnesses”. The applicant should have experience in secretarial and administrative work, including appointment management.
In addition, he must have IT skills, “excellent” communication skills and “excellent” organizational skills and is required to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times. An interest in the work of the Cambridges is also a basic requirement. According to the British “Daily Mail” the job at Kensington Palace is advertised for around £27,500 per year (equivalent to around €32,100) and 37.5 hours per week. More than 200 people are said to have already applied.
Throne anniversary coming up
The ad comes at a busy time for the British royals. Because at the beginning of June Great Britain celebrates the platinum anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II (96) on the throne over a long weekend and the preparations are in full swing. Also part of the celebrations is the traditional military parade “Trooping the Color”. As usual, the royals will gather on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. However, only “working royals” should then be there and therefore neither Prince Harry (37) and Duchess Meghan (40) nor Prince Andrew (62).
