The Rossmann drugstore chain can continue to expand significantly in terms of the number of its stores and the volume of business. While in 2022 smaller retailers in particular were struggling heavily with the consequences of the energy crisis or with a shortage of staff, the group from Burgwedel near Hanover managed to increase sales by 9.5 percent to almost 12.2 billion euros in the past year based on preliminary figures. The company thus once again significantly exceeded the values from 2021, when revenue growth had reached 8.1 percent. However, part of the recent increase is also likely to come from the price effects of high inflation. As usual, Rossmann did not provide any information on the profit on Tuesday.
