Dream resorts in the Indian Ocean: from the Maldives to Mauritius

Coconut trees swaying in the wind, rounded granite rocks between dazzling white powdered sugar sand and the turquoise blue sea behind them – this picture is the epitome of the beaches of the Seychelles, an archipelago consisting of 155 smaller and larger islands in the east of the Indian Ocean.

Further south are Madagascar and Mauritius and La Réunion in between – but how do these islands differ from each other, what character do the landscape and inhabitants have? A comprehensive book entitled “india ocean“, has been published, helps with differentiation. It is not a small travel guide for your vest pocket, but a large-format illustrated book that weighs heavily: the Coffee Table Book weighs 3.8 kilos.

Instead of boring facts, the book with large-format photographs whets the appetite for the six most important travel destinations in the Indian Ocean, the Maldives, Seychelles, Madagascar, Mauritius, Zanzibar and La Réunion.

Five Star Hotels

The respective holiday destinations are presented with sensual photos on opulent double pages. Only then do motifs and descriptions of selected hotels, which are exclusively in the five-star range, follow. “No hotel or resort paid for the publication,” says publisher Stefan Loiperdinger.

The Munich native, who worked in advertising for three decades, had the idea for this extensive work. Then he got out and discovered his love for Mallorca. He has been publishing the magazine “Mallorca’s beautiful pages” for several years. After many stays on the islands in the Indian Ocean, he has now summarized his view of the dream destinations in book form and presents 46 extraordinary hotel complexes.

The book is bursting with advertising images, everything is in color and in high gloss – you shouldn’t expect journalistic or critical undertones.
