Don’t be afraid of emotionality: Portrait of the Oberhausen director Kathrin Mädler – Culture

Kathrin Mädler is sitting in her office Theater Oberhausen and raves about what a great house she took over a year ago. One in which the identification of all employees with the theater is incredibly strong. One in which “the togetherness” that is so important to her simply works. Mädler’s enthusiasm alone makes it understandable why the hearts of the audience in Oberhausen seem to warm to her theater. Since its founding in 1920, the company has experienced many ups, downs, national triumphs and cuts. The Mädler era, which has been running for just over a year, has been very promising so far.
