“Done deal!” Fenerbahce defender Attila Szalai ahead of Chelsea transfer?
Attila Szalai was recently on the list of several top clubs. According to his national coach, the Hungarians will soon be drawn to London.
The Hungarian national coach Marco Rossi has announced that Fenerbahce defender Attila Szalai (23) will most likely move to Chelsea.
When asked which of his national players could do best in Serie A, the Italian told the other Calciomercato: “It’s hard to name just one player, but at the moment I could well imagine Attila Szalai playing for Fenerbahce. But I think he will join Chelsea.”
“He’s obviously been watched by Spanish clubs too, but his move to Chelsea looks like a done deal,” said the 57-year-old.
Will Szalai move to Chelsea this winter?
According to various media reports, in addition to the Blues, both FC Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and FC Sevilla were on Szalai. If Rossi’s announcement actually arrives, Chelsea will probably transfer around 23 million euros to Istanbul. The change of the central defender could already take place in the upcoming winter transfer window.
The 23-time international had only moved from Apollon Limassol to Fener last January. His contract there runs until 2025.
