In Donauwörth (Donau-Ries district), people dialed the emergency call because they supposedly heard a girl screaming for help in a wooded area. Several patrols drove to the reported location on Monday night and also heard screams “that resembled that of a child,” according to a message on Monday.
However, the officials discovered a tawny owl in the forest, from which the screams emanated. According to the police, the animal was unharmed.
