Donald Tusk’s pro-European government obtains the confidence of Parliament

The pro-European government of new Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk obtained the confidence of Parliament on Tuesday, ending the eight years in power of the populist nationalists PiS.

By 248 votes to 201, the deputies of the lower house of Parliament gave their support to the government of Donald Tusk Tusk, 66, who must now be inaugurated on Wednesday by Polish President Andrzej Duda.
