Dominik Bloh: “Life on the street is still in my head” – Economy

Dominik Bloh was homeless for almost eleven years. Today he helps people without a home, writes books, sometimes earns 10,000 euros a month – but he still finds it difficult to manage money.

Dominik Bloh still lives in Hamburg, but since his girlfriend and son moved to Munich, the 36-year-old has been in the Bavarian capital more often. If everything goes according to plan, he will soon want to build something here that he hasn’t had for a long time: a real home. Bloh lived on the streets for almost eleven years. Today he writes books, is committed to helping the homeless and runs buses where people can wash. For his commitment he was honored with the Federal Cross of Merit in 2022. A conversation about what money has to do with freedom and security.
