Typically human: As long as it’s tropically hot, they claim all the water areas in the city and around them for themselves, the streams, the rivers, the lakes and of course the swimming pools in the outdoor pools. But as soon as the temperature drops, others are allowed into the water, in this case: dogs.
Since this Wednesday and until Saturday, the municipal utilities have announced “dog bathing days”, on two days in the Ungererbad in Schwabing, namely on Wednesday and Thursday, and then on Friday and Saturday in the Dantebad in Gern. Entry costs five euros per dog, owners pay nothing.
The seals obviously had fun at the start in the Ungererbad: with a swing into the water, which the municipal utilities assure that the chlorine content breaks down in time, so that the creatures are not at risk, even if they get a mouthful.
The dog bathing day in the Ungererbad runs on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., last entry is at 2:30 p.m. The Dantebad is open for dogs on Friday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., last entry is at 5:30 p.m. So leave in good time – otherwise the dachshund will end up unbathed, but still looking like a watered poodle.
