The symbol was beautiful, perhaps too beautiful. In video footage posted on social media, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak can be seen using a hammer with the edge, an unusual and very often ineffective technique, in a jewelry workshop in Farsley in West Yorkshire. It was enough for the Labor Party to rush into the breach and vilify this politician out of touch with the realities of the country. “The man who pushes workers doesn’t know how to use a hammer,” the opposition party tweeted on Friday with a clever (but easy) pun on the word “hammer”.
Obviously the video went viral with an avalanche of tweets as mocking as funny. Except that one long version of the video was released shortly after where Rishi Sunak explicitly asks the jeweler if he should use the edge, which she confirms. The conservatives were quick to respond through their new president, Richard Holden, Quoted by The Guardian : ” He [Rishi Sunak] is the son of a pharmacist and a general practitioner.
