Romania has accomplished what Germany has failed to do for years: the government there excluded the Chinese technology group Huawei from expanding its 5G mobile networks a few days ago. In Germany, however, the traffic light government continues to argue about the Huawei expulsion and cannot agree on a position. Anyone who wants to reduce the risks in dealing with China can only shake their head. Radio masts, harbor cranes, drones, cameras and, more recently, fully digitalized cars: the number of devices that Chinese secret services could use to spy on Germany is increasing every day. But although security authorities such as the Office for the Protection of the Constitution have been warning for a long time, nothing is happening.
