District of Munich – Municipalities implement climate targets – District of Munich

Of

Putin had yet to send a tank across the Ukrainian border, and the 10H distance rule was set in stone in Bavaria when municipalities in the Munich district took targeted steps to move away from gas and make more use of wind power. Aschheim, Brunnthal, Grasbrunn, Neubiberg and Taufkirchen as well as Gräfelfing and Schäftlarn joined the “Implementation Program++” in 2021, the name of which already says that after years of debate about an energy transition, things are now getting down to business. The municipalities dealt with locations for wind turbines and ground-mounted photovoltaic systems. They discussed expanding district heating networks and looked at how subsidy programs for photovoltaics or thermal insulation could be made more attractive. Catalogs of measures were decided. And these are now being processed.
