District of Munich – A day trainee on the day of repentance and prayer – District of Munich

Under the motto “One Day Trainee”, young people from the Munich area are invited on Wednesday, November 16th, the school-free day of repentance and prayer, to accompany trainees through a typical working day and to get to know their professions and the respective training companies. The aim of the joint campaign by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and the Junior Business Administration is to give young people a realistic insight into the day-to-day work of a company and to show them the many opportunities that training in the region offers.

As patron of the project day, the Munich District Administrator Christoph Göbel (CSU) explains that projects like “One Day Trainee” are an essential key in “meeting the urgent challenges of the shortage of skilled workers”. Christoph Höhler, chairman of the Munich-Land IHK regional committee, sees significant potential in the project to make young people aware of the advantages of the dual training system in the career-finding phase. “As many young women and men as possible in the district should be able to see which jobs are waiting for them, what training opportunities there are and how they can then continue in the direction of a career after this training,” said Höhler. Christian Kleppermann from Wirtschaftsjunioren München also emphasizes that an apprenticeship represents a valuable first step towards entrepreneurship, self-employment or management.

Young people between the ages of 16 and 26 as well as companies that are authorized to provide training can take part. Companies and interested young people can register at letsmatchbayern.chemistree.de. Registration for both is possible until October 25th.
