The heavy snowfall on Thursday afternoon and evening has led to a number of accidents, particularly in the northern county. The property damage is high, but those involved were only injured in one case. One of the accidents happened in Forstinning, where a 46-year-old Anzinger wanted to drive onto the B12 at around 5 p.m., but was then unable to accelerate properly due to the slippery surface – and another road user who was approaching could not brake properly. The collision caused about $9,000 in damage. In Zorneding, around 5:30 p.m., a 38-year-old from Hohenbrunn came into the oncoming lane due to the snow and collided with the car of a 37-year-old from Kirchseeon. The property damage was estimated at 20,000 euros, the two involved were slightly injured. At the same time, a traffic accident occurred on Wasserburger Landstrasse near Herzog-Albrecht-Strasse in Zorneding. A 20-year-old driver was unable to stop in time before the intersection on a slippery road and slipped into the left side of a road user. The property damage is estimated at 30,000 euros. Around 6.30 p.m. there was a crash in Weißenfeld, which was also a rear-end collision. The property damage is estimated at 8,000 euros.
