His short film “I See What You Don’t See” won an award at this year’s Oscars. Director Wes Anderson is now filming in the Babelsberg film studio.

US director Wes Anderson (“Grand Budapest Hotel”) is shooting his new film in the Babelsberg film studio in Potsdam.

“After filming had to be postponed last year due to the US strikes, it is a great joy for the film location Berlin-Brandenburg that the exceptional director and newly crowned Oscar winner Wes Anderson is filming in the traditional Babelsberg studios and locations,” said Medienboard- Managing Director Kirsten Niehuus of the German Press Agency.

Anderson won an Oscar on Monday night for the short film “I see something you don’t see” (“The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar”). The Medienboard – the film funding agency for Berlin-Brandenburg – also wrote on Facebook: “Also a welcome to Benicio del Toro, Michael Cera & Bill Murray!” The title of the film was not revealed. The “Tagesspiegel,” among others, previously reported.
