Lisa Miller made it into the top league of German directors with her neo-local film “Landrauschen” in 2018. The film, which was made without funding and with the help of her entire hometown, won three awards at the Max Ophüls Prize film festival, which is important for young filmmakers. Her current comedy series “Oh Hell”, in which Mala Emde and Edin Hasanović play the main roles, won the German television award last year. Another series, “2 Minutes”, was nominated for the Grimme Prize, the second season is running in the ARD media library. In the video interview, the 36-year-old, who now lives in Leipzig but is currently at home with her parents in Bubenhausen, Swabia, explains why humor helps to get along in the country – and why she would never move into a single-family home.
