Digital media house of the RBB: end to horror – media

RBB parted ways with its previous program director Jan Schulte-Kellinghaus on Thursday, but the fact that one of the top stations has left was hardly noticeable compared to the spectacular news from the planned digital media house right next to the current station headquarters in Berlin. The 13,000 square meter new building has now finally been stopped. And only now is the true extent of the costs, which are in a completely different category than previously known, becoming apparent. The digital media house was the prestige project of the former director Patricia Schlesinger, with it the separation of the work areas TV, radio and web should end. However, the media house became more and more expensive in the course of the planning, and it was ultimately at the center of the RBB scandal because of controversial consultants. Since then, the plans have been on hold. Now the board of directors ended all plans to do so.
