He’s not one of those managers who’s always on talk shows. This makes what he does for a living all the more famous: overnight stays for relatively little money in central locations in cities from Vienna to Madrid. Dieter Müller founded Motel One 23 years ago. It changed the image of German city centers and shaped the entire hotel industry. Since last week, Müller may also be better known to one or two customers. Hackers have posted thousands of overnight stay data, including that of him and his wife, on the dark web.
