The majority of Germans are against a ban on combustion engines, as surveys repeatedly show. In addition to skepticism about alternative drives, there is hope for a climate-friendly fuel that makes switching to electric cars unnecessary. Now this solution seems to be within reach: HVO 100, a fuel made exclusively from residual and waste materials, will soon be available at German gas stations. Its big advantage over other drive alternatives: It can be used immediately for all newer diesel vehicles and can be offered at all petrol stations.
