On social networks, supporters of the far right or Emmanuel Macron are having a great time. Screenshots of Facebook posts, presented as those of Rachel Keke, have been circulating in both spheres since June 20. The far-right fdesouche website listed them in an updated post on June 21.
Between 2016 and 2019, the new deputy Nupes-LFI, elected in Val-de-Marne, would have shared or liked far-right or right-wing posts such as this publication dating from July 2016 and supporting the previous presidential campaign of Marine Le pen. Pro Bashar Al-Assad content rebelling against “the criminal predators of France, the United States and England”, in April 2018, is also part of the list. Nathalie Loiseau, Renaissance MEP (ex-LREM) and who had presented herself on a far-right list in her youth, echoed the latter, indicating that “his arms were falling” from June 20.
Publications denouncing “the negrophobia of North Africans” following a demonstration against slavery in Libya, or arguing that there is “no more racist than an Algerian” would have been shared by the trade unionist chambermaid , who had led the fight at the Ibis hotel in Batignolles. But on Facebook, the account under the pseudonym of Raïssa Rachel Keke is no longer active. It is therefore impossible to verify the veracity of all these publications. Since May 2022, Rachel Keke has an official account on both Facebook and Twitter, which were created for the legislative campaign. Contacted by 20 minutes, Rachel Keke has yet to respond. Asked about RTL on June 21, the MP neither confirmed nor denied: “They say what they want to say, it’s not going to break me, it’s not going to bring me down, I’m strong, she said . I don’t know where they’re going to look, where they’re going to search. »
“Legitimized far-right content without verification”
On Twitter, the NGO Action for Muslim Rights, which explains that Rachel Keke “is the subject of a hate campaign”, called on June 21 to be wary of publications that may come from a fake account. Stephanie Lamy, author ofAgora toxicaa survey of political disinformation, criticized in a thread the fact that Emmanuel Macron’s supporters “legitimize content from the far right without any verification”. She denounces a “semantic operation (racist and misogynistic backlash) which targets Rachel Keke” and “resembles the well-known tactic of the femspoofing”, that is to say to “men who create false profiles of women to trap, to react”.
While Rachel Keke was taking her first steps in the National Assembly on June 21, Sophie de Ravinel, political journalist at Le Figaro also questioned her about these posts. Rachel Keke did not wish to answer it: “Do not ask me about it, it is my historic day. I don’t want to talk about it now. “On the set of LCP, the journalist believes that she is” representative of the French who have evolved over the course of their ideas, who wonder about their political affiliations from one side to the other “.
