Is coach Bo Svensson still on the Mainz bench against RB Leipzig? The sporting management does not want to make a commitment immediately after the cup exit at Hertha BSC.

After the embarrassing exit in the DFB Cup at Hertha BSC, sports director Martin Schmidt FSV Mainz 05 has a clear commitment to being a football coach Bo Svensson avoided.

“We have to analyze this very hard now. Bo will be on the bench against Leipzig on Saturday if we get this analysis in the right direction. You can’t expect me to say yes or no now,” said Schmidt after the 0 goal: 3 of the bottom of the Bundesliga against the Berlin second division team and added: “We obviously want to do it with Bo. But we won’t sugarcoat a game like that.”

Mainz is in the biggest sporting crisis in years. The Zero Fives have been without a win for ten games. Mainz last won in the first round of the cup in mid-August. “In competition, there is suddenly such uncertainty. Every loss of the ball feels dangerous,” analyzed Schmidt.

According to the sports director, “the relationship” between the team and coach is still intact. “You can hear that from the team too. The team wants to do it with Bo. The team wants to get out of there with Bo. But it’s stagnating at all ends,” reported Schmidt. The sporting leadership is in close contact with Svensson.
