The board members of Deutsche Bank reportedly want to forgo EUR 75,000 each from their bonuses. Apparently it’s about taking responsibility for the unauthorized use of short message services in the bank. For Deutsche Bank boss Christian Sewing, the waiver is manageable: his salary rose by 20 percent to 8.8 million euros in 2021. The waiver corresponds to just 1.4 percent of his variable remuneration.
