One Chicago Casts’ Dating Histories: Who the Stars Have Dated in Real Life

The casts of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. continually bring the heat on screen — and some of the stars have equally as fiery romances off camera.

Chicago P.D.’s Jesse Lee Soffer and Sophia Bush, for example, dated from 2014 to 2016. Their red-hot relationship seemed to mirror their TV characters’ Jay Halstead and Erin Lindsay’s romance. Following their split — and Bush’s exit from the series — Soffer briefly dated Chicago Med’s Torrey DeVitto.

Chicago Fire’s Taylor Kinney, meanwhile, made headlines in 2015 when he got engaged to Lady Gaga. The relationship eventually fizzled out, but fans’ desire to learn about their favorite One Chicago star’s love lives remains alive and well.

Jesse Lee Soffer

The Chicago P.D. star — who exited the series in 2022 — dated Bush for two years during her time on the show, but the pair split in 2016. Two years later, Us confirmed Soffer was dating Chicago Med‘s DeVitto. The duo split in 2019.

Taylor Kinney

The Pennsylvania native, who stars on Chicago Fire, began dating Lady Gaga in 2011 and the two were engaged from 2015 to 2016 before ending their relationship. In April 2022, he went public with girlfriend Ashley Cruger while attending the Operation Smile 2022 Park City Ski Challenge in Utah.

Yaya DaCosta

Chicago Med‘s DaCosta shares son Sankara with producer Joshua Bee Alafia. The pair split in 2015.

Jon Seda

The Chicago P.D. alum has been married to Lisa Gomez since 2000. The pair share four children.

Torrey DeVitto

DeVitto, who exited Chicago Med in 2021 after six seasons, was married to Paul Wesley from 2011 to 2013. She has since dated actor Rick Glassman, dancer Artem Chigvintsev, costar Soffer and actor Will Estes. Us Weekly broke the news in September 2023 that DeVitto is engaged to Jared LaPine.

Patrick Flueger

The Chicago P.D. star has been dating actress and model Reem Amara since 2019.

Monica Raymund

Raymund who starred on Chicago Fire from 2012 to 2019, was married to Neil Patrick Stewart from 2011 to 2014. She later came out as bisexual and has been dating Tari Segal since 2016.

LaRoyce Hawkins

Hawkins, much like his Chicago P.D. character, Kevin Atwater, keeps his love life private. He has one son, Roman John, with an ex-girlfriend.

Tracy Spiridakos

The actress has kept her personal life off of social media but was previously engaged to actor Jon Cor. They split in 2013. News broke in October 2023 that Spiridakos is leaving Chicago P.D. after season 11.

Sophia Bush

Bush, who starred on Chicago P.D. from 2014 to 2017, was married to One Tree Hill costar Chad Michael Murray from April 2005 to December 2006. After relationships with James Lafferty, Austin Nichols, Dan Fredinburg and Soffer, she began dating Grant Hughes in 2020. The pair announced their engagement in August 2021. Bush and Hughes got married at Philbrook Art Museum in Tulsa County, Oklahoma, on June 11, 2022.

Us confirmed in August 2023 that Bush filed for divorce from Hughes after 13 months of marriage. Multiple outlets reported in October 2023 that Bush is dating soccer star Ashlyn Harris.

Kara Killmer

Killmer married Andrew Cheney in 2016, four years after they met on the set of her first movie, Beyond the Mask.

The Japan native, who stars on Chicago Med, is married to actress Mirelly Taylor. In 2015, they welcomed their first daughter, Madelyn.
