Vanessa Williams Explained Why She Draws the Line at Fillers and Facelifts

With cosmetic work, what you don’t get done is as important as what you do. Vanessa Williams knows this all too well. The actor, singer, and first Black Miss America is 60, and maintains her features using Botox, not fillers or invasive surgery procedures. At least, for now.

Asked about getting a face lift, the star replied, “No, no, no, no, no, not yet,” per Page Six, and added, “I don’t do fillers.” Surgery would be “the very last” thing she’d try. She previously revealed that one key component of her beauty routine is “knowing where to get good Botox…I don’t want to look like somebody else.” Like Kylie Jenner, Williams is drawing a distinction between the needle and the knife.

For Williams, the most important factor seems to be the outpatient of it all. She’s partial to treatments that don’t involve going under, and said, “The technology now for lifting, sculpting, tightening, is incredible. And there’s a machine for anything,” continuing, “I just got a microcurrent thing for your neck, it was called Forma and it’s like a total package facial.” According to this spa website, it’s a machine that heats up the deep layers of your skin to promote collagen…I think? Whatever makes you feel good!
