Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd contact £34m star, Arsenal double sale, Kane showdown talks | Football | Sport

Teams in the Premier League and beyond have a little over a month left in the transfer market in order to finalise their squads, with plenty of money spent already as we gear up for the final month of the window. Manchester United are looking to sign a marquee striker for Erik ten Hag but there are chances of the Red Devils being gazumped by Paris Saint-Germain.

Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund has been made the priority signing, with United already submitting offers close to the Serie A outfit’s valuation. It is thought that a deal will get done to bring him to Old Trafford, but PSG are waiting in the wings and have already offered the 20-year-old a better financial package.

Arsenal got a lot of their business done early with the signings of Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber – with the current focus on trimming their squad after Mikel Arteta’s complaint. Reports have suggested that they want to sign another forward, however, to compete with and provide cover for Bukayo Saka on the right flank and Brazilian Bitello has been identified ahead of a potential move.

While Chelsea and Liverpool are both looking to strengthen their midfields and are competing for Southampton starlet Romeo Lavia. The Reds have made a second bid in the region of £45m but after Mauricio Pochettino saw his £80m offer for Brighton star Moises Caicedo turned down, their attention may turn towards the Belgian.
