Tottenham REJECT Bayern Munich’s latest offer for Harry Kane with the England striker looking likely to stay in the Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur have rejected Bayern Munich’s latest bid for Harry Kane.

The German champions’ latest offer for the England captain fell short in terms of guaranteed cash to persuade Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to sell.

It came after Bayern set Spurs a deadline of Friday night to accept an improved offer for the prolific 30-year-old forward following a week of negotiations between club officials.

However, the two clubs are around £25million apart in their valuation of Kane, who looks increasingly likely to see out the final year of his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Bayern’s initial bid of £60m plus add-ons for Kane was rejected early last month with Levy adamant only a bid of £100m or more would facilitate the sale.

Kane scored four times  in Tottenham’s 5-1 friendly win over Shakhtar Donetsk on Sunday, having played a full part in their pre-season preparations.

Spurs fans serenaded the forward with chants of ‘we want you to stay’ as Ange Postecoglou’s side turned in an impressive performance ahead of the new season.

Bayern officials are set to hold a pre-scheduled meeting on Monday and alternative striker targets are likely to form part of the agenda.
