Tom Hardy’s Venom 3 release date announced as Sony superhero movies delayed | Films | Entertainment

It was only a matter of time before upcoming blockbusters were delayed, what with the ongoing joint actors and writers’ strike.

After all, studios will not want to release their big movies without their stars to promote them during a pricey marketing campaign.

Warner Bros may still be considering moving Dune 2 and Aquaman 2 to 2024, but Sony have already announced such shifts.

The first casualty is next James Bond bookies’ favourite Aaron Taylor-Johnson, whose Spider-Man villain solo movie Kraven the Hunter is moving almost a year from October 6, 2023 to August 30, 2024.

Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse (the second half of this year’s Across the Spider-Verse) has been removed from having a release date entirely.

Spider-Verse 3 was supposed to release on March 29, 2024 but is now totally TBC regarding when it hits cinemas.

In the meantime, the untitled Ghostbusters: Afterlife sequel will now release on that day after moving up from December 20, 2023.

Aside from delays, Sony have announced some release dates including Tom Hardy’s Venom 3.

Hardy’s Venom 3 will hit cinemas on July 12, 2024 which will be three years on from Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Meanwhile, Dakota Johnson’s Spider-Man villain spin-off Madame Web will be released on February 14, 2024.

Additionally, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s Bad Boys 4 will arrive on June 14, 2024.
