Disney has unveiled a one-of-a-kind sculpture to celebrate its 100th anniversary. “The Structural Sorcerer” is based on original artwork for Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary, created by the legendary designer Virgil Abloh for CHAOS magazine, before he passed in 2021.

It was designed by Virgil Abloh Securities’ design firm, ALASKA ALASKA, at the Royal College of Art in Battersea, London.

It marks the launch of Create 100, a global celebration of creativity, marking a century of storytelling.

From Houston to Athens, Rick Lowe Takes His Social Sculpture Global

Art collector shatters $42,000 Jeff Koons dog sculpture at Miami art fair

A $42,000 limited edition blue porcelain balloon dog sculpture by world-famous artist Jeff Koons has been smashed by an art collector in downtown Miami.

The shiny, electric blue sculpture was on display at the Bel-Air Fine Art’s booth during the Art Wynwood contemporary art fair on Thursday.

Footage shows the dismay of art enthusiasts who appeared unable to peel their eyes away from the pricey accident.

Karl Lagerfeld estate auction fetches $13.5 MILLION – including $22k for a sculpture of his CAT

A portion of late Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld’s estate has been sold at auction this week, bringing in about €12 million euros ($13.5 million) total for items that included three luxury cars, vintage furniture, fashion designs, and several pieces of art by Lagerfeld himse.

An auction titled ‘KARL, Karl Lagerfeld’s Estate Part I’ with Sotheby’s Monaco closed on Monday, bringing in about four times as much as the 582 lots were expected to fetch.
