Russia did not take part in the talks. But China, a longtime ally of Russia, attended the gathering in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

“It is not a slippery slope,” she added, referring to a debate triggered after the Danish government announced
Biden’s Moral Calculus in Brokering a Saudi-Israeli Peace Deal
Last week, the Times columnist Thomas Friedman reported that the Biden Administration was “wrestling with whether to pursue the possibility of a U.S.-Saudi mutual security pact that would involve Saudi Arabia normalizing relations with Israel.” The pact, Friedman wrote, would entail Israeli “concessions to the Palestinians that would preserve the possibility of a two-state solution.” At first glance, the prospect appears unlikely: American-Saudi relations have been frosty since the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, in 2018, and since the departure of

The U.K. business and trade secretary used last July’s Conservative Party leadership contest to launch herself from relative obscurity to political stardom, and 12 months later finds herself firmly seated within the top tier of Rishi Sunak’s ministers.
For many, Badenoch is now the next great hope for British conservatism, her right-wing sensibilities, dry sense of humor
