The biggest dinosaur to ever stomp the Earth has just arrived in the UK, after being transported in not one, but two British Airways planes.
A replica of a Patagotitan mayorum – or titanosaur – skeleton has been relocated from Argentina to London to be showcased at the Natural History Museum.
The 115-foot long exhibit was dismantled into more than 40 crates in Trelow back in November, before being packed into the bellyhold of two Boeing 787-9 passenger aircraft.

A scientist who starred in a David Attenborough documentary has been accused of faking data in a major study about the extinction of the dinosaurs.
Robert DePalma, a palaeontologist at the University of Manchester, published a study in December last year that concluded the dinosaurs went extinct in the spring.
But a former colleague, Melanie During at Uppsala University, has alleged DePalma made up data to support the conclusion – one that she’d already made.

Vor den ersten Säugetieren, bevor Dinosaurier die Erde durchstreiften, wuchs in Gondwana, einem riesigen Kontinent der südlichen Hemisphäre, eine Pflanze.
Fast 280 Millionen Jahre später, im heutigen Brasilien, haben Wissenschaftler die fossilen Überreste dieser Pflanze als frühes Mitglied einer Linie identifiziert, die Cycads oder Cycadales genannt wird und bis heute andauert. Die Entdeckung erweitert das wissenschaftliche Verständnis der Widerstandsfähigkeit dieser Pflanzen, die durch zwei Massensterben fortbestanden hat.
