The Queen Consort paid tribute to the survivors of the Kindertransport by laying a single white rose on the memorial in Hamburg today.
The royal couple visited the site to mark the 85th anniversary of the remarkable rescue mission in 1938, which granted 10,000 child refugees entry into the UK from Nazi Germany.
The royal, 75, looked pensive as she laid the flower on the ‘Final Parting’ bronze sculpture, which was first erected in 2015.
