Prince Harry arrives in Japan wearing Archewell baseball cap with polo pal Nacho Figueras | Royal | News

Prince Harry has touched down in Japan with his friend and polo teammate Nacho Figueras to take part in the ISPS Sports Values Summit in Tokyo on Wednesday.

The Duke and Mr Figueras were seen in a clip on Japanese TV, which was then shared on Twitter, as they landed in the Japanese capital.

His wife Meghan Markle was nowhere to be seen, as she is likely staying home in Montecito to look after their two young children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Following the Sports Summit, Harry will travel on to Singapore to play in the 2023 Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup at Singapore Polo Club on Saturday, August 12.

Since 2010 the Polo Cup has raised over £11million for Sentebale, Harry’s charity based in Lesotho, which supports children and young people affected by poverty, inequality and HIV/AIDS.

On the Sentebale website the Duke states: “The annual Polo Cup is essential to Sentebale’s vital work ensuring children and young people are healthy, resilient, and able to thrive.

“The funds raised this year will support our Clubs and Camps programme, which provides intensive psychosocial support to young people living with HIV.

“In a time where being HIV positive is no longer a death sentence, we are empowering young people to know their status, stay healthy, and eliminate the stigma so that they can break the cycle.

“We are delighted to return to the renowned Singapore Polo Club in August, and are once again enormously grateful for the polo community and our sponsors, in particular ISPS Handa, for their ongoing commitment to Lesotho and Botswana’s youth.”
