Hojlund wore the No 28 shirt during his final season at Copenhagen. But that again could be out of his reach.
Facundo Pellistri impressed in a number of cameos towards the end of last season. He continues to wear the No 28 and did so in the recent friendlies against Arsenal and Real Madrid.
At international level, Hojlund wears the No 11. That number is also unavailable at United, with Mason Greenwood occupying it.
Greenwood remains suspended by the club as their internal investigation continues. If he does return to action, he will likely keep the same shirt number.
Hojlund has also worn the No 21 for Denmark. However, Antony won’t be giving that up anytime soon.
Hojlund may have to wait for players to leave in order to get a suitable jersey. The only numbers below 30 that are available are the No 4, No 13 and No 15.
