A fee of £72million was agreed between United and Atalanta for Hojlund on Saturday. It is set to bring an end to Erik ten Hag’s search for a striker this summer.
There may now be a host of outgoings at United before Ten Hag is able to make any further additions. The club are working on a limited budget, even though Hojlund’s arrival will take their spending to over £180m in this window.
Ten Hag is keen to sign another midfielder, while a back-up goalkeeper also must be sourced. These additions will probably depend on how much money club chiefs can bring in through sales.
