Harry branded an ‘afterthought’ as as his own company ditch Sussex branding | Royal | News

Prince Harry was branded an “afterthought” after his own company stopped using his name to promote its activities, according to a royal expert.

Newsweek Royal Correspondent Jack Royston told True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat that Harry’s sustainable tourism project Travalyst is no longer using him prominently in its marketing materials.

He claimed whilst they used to stick his name at the top when they wanted to promote something, they no longer do that as he is “kind of an afterthought.”

Royston said: “When [Travalyst] want to market, PR or promote something and want to get attention for it on the world stage, previously [they would] stick Harry’s name at the top and all the media will cover it… they will all be writing about it.

“Seemingly, they no longer feel that they want to do that. In the whole of 2022, six out of seven press releases had Harry at the top or quoted prominently and being used to brand and market the organization. Now he is kind of an afterthought.”

The royal expert told the programme that the legal battles the Duke of Sussex is fighting against various media outlets are “yesterday’s war” and that his ongoing court case against The Sun publisher News Group Newspapers is not going as he had hoped.

He added that Harry will “almost certainly” blame the monarchy and his family over them allegedly hiding phone hacking information from him.

Royston added: “This is what I think is going to be so frustrating to him. He didn’t get as far as getting a verdict from the judge either way on whether [phone hacking by NGN] happened.

“He’s been told he can’t [take that part of his claim further] on a technicality because he left it too late [to bring the claims to court].

“And he will almost certainly blame the monarchy, and he will blame his family because he has said that they hid phone hacking information from him.

“He would have loved to have brought a claim earlier, but he couldn’t because [he believes] he was kept in the dark.”
