Dancing On Ice semi-final RESULTS: Amber Davies is eliminated despite scoring FULL MARKS after landing in the skate-off alongside Adele Roberts

Amber Davies became the latest celeb to leave Dancing On Ice during the show’s nail-biting semi-final on Sunday. 

The Love Island star, 27,  just missed out on a place in next weeks final after landing in the dreaded skate off alongside Adele Roberts. 

Despite scoring the full 40 marks for her routine with partner Simon Senecal, Amber once again found herself in the bottom two for a third week in a row. 

Her exit cemented Adele’s place in grand final alongside Greg Rutherford, Ryan Thomas and Miles Nazaire.

However before the judges made their decision an emotional Amber began gushing about her time on the series forcing host Stephen Mulhern to exclaim: ‘You haven’t gone yet!’. 

She replied: ‘I feel like I have been on borrowed time’. 

Following both skate off performances the judges unanimously deiced to save Adele ahead of next week’s final. 

Motsi Mabuse said: ‘ I hate to see the two women in the skate-off, I think it’s a shame’.

While Christopher Dean said deciding between the two came down to ‘such fine margins’.

Amber then praised partner Simon saying her time with him had been ‘life changing in so many ways’.

Before going on to gush about the behind the scenes staff for all their hard work. 

The celebs saw their skating skills pushed to the limits as they performed twice, with one dance seeing them forced to master working on wires as they flew high above the rink. 

Their first dance saw all four semi finalists take to the ice for a group skate without their professionals in a rock themed routine, before being scored individually by the panel.

The showstopping skate to Highway to Hell featured incredible pyrotechnics and had the celebs showcasing their skills with intricate lifts.

The judges agreed Greg Rutherford was the winner with five points, followed by Miles Nazaire with four, Ryan Thomas with three points, Adele Roberts with two and in last place came Amber Davies with one point. 

Then Miles and pro Vanessa Bauer performed and during the VT the Made In Chelsea star learned he would he performing on wires high above the ice.

Admitting he was hoping to bag his first 10 the dance saw him fly effortlessly through the air and carried his partner before landing back on his skates.

However the judges were not totally convinced and Miles miles out on his dream score with Ashley Banjo marking 9.5, while Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean all gave nine points.

With 36.5 out of a possible 40 Christopher said the routine ‘didn’t quite smooth out’ between the wire work and ice, branding it ‘sticky’. 

But Ashley gushed saying Miles: ‘Absolutely smashed it’. 

Second was Amber Davies and Simon Senecal with the actress desperate to make amends for last week’s result which saw her landing in the skate off. 

The stunner looked nothing short of sensational in her sparkly pink bodysuit with dramatic cape as she did flips and splits mid air. 

After blowing away the judges and scoring a full 40 points, an emotional Amber gushed how she left so lucky to ‘learn how to skate and fly’.

Jayne said: ‘The strings didn’t matter, you looked like you were flying’.

While Christopher added: ‘If I could have I’d have put 11!’. 

Next to take to the sky was former Corrie star Ryan who looked dapper in a shirt and dickie bow for his big band themed routine with partner Amani Fancy. 

And their hard work paid off as the couple bagged their highest score of the series with an impressive 38 points. 

Unable to wipe the smile off his face Ryan joked about the bonuses of being lifted over the ice saying: ‘At least I can’t fall over!’. 

The judges were full of compliments as they praised the soap star over his ‘story telling’ and performance skills.

Motsi branded the skate ‘joyous’ and it helped viewers forget the hard things going on in their lives.  

Then it was Olympian Greg Rutherford and pro Vanessa James’ turn to take to the air after revealing training had left him bruised and battered. 

He oozed confidence during the routine that was lit by pyrotechnics and also saw him skate on top a grand piano. 

Motsi gave the couple 9.5 while Ashley, Jayne and Christopher all opted to score them nine points, resulting in 36.5 out of a possible 40. 

The judges criticised his arm placement, comparing him to scarecrow, but said he had without doubt mastered flying and wire work. 

With partner Vanessa branding him a ‘natural’. 

Last and certainly not least was Adele Roberts and partner Mark Hanretty who incorporated silks into their performance rather than wires. 

The radio DJ, donned in a stunning red ensemble held onto the fabrics as she glided effortlessly through the air and flames to Conchita Wurst’s Rise Like A Phoenix. 

Struggling to contain her emotion Adele said: ‘Cancer is like a fire through the body and it this is me coming back again’.

Ashley and Oti both scored ten points while Christopher and Jayne, who were a little harder to please, both decided on 9.5 points. 

Jayne asked: ‘Adele, is there anything you can’t do?’. 

Adele was diagnosed with stage two bowel cancer in October 2021 and received the all clear from Doctors in June.

The Dancing On Ice grand final airs on Sunday March 10 at 6.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
