Charlie Stayt is a journalist and TV presenter known for his role on BBC Breakfast.
The presenter began his career at a commercial radio station in his home town of Gloucester.
He then worked at several London radio stations including Capital Radio, LBC and BBC Radio 5 Live.
In 1995, Charlie began working for ITN before then joining Five News as a reporter. He went on to spend a total of 10 years at ITN as a presenter and a correspondent.
Charlie joined BBC Breakfast in 2006 as a relief presenter but it was then confirmed in December 2007 that he would become their Friday to Sunday presenter.
Since January 2008, he has been the weekend presenter for BBC Breakfast. He now presents the show from Thursday to Saturday alongside Naga Munchetty and fills in for main weekday host Dan Walker.
Away from the screen, Charlie lives a quiet, private life and doesn’t share much on social media.
Charlie is married to Anne Breckell and together they have two grown-up children – Phoebe and Jake.
It’s believed the family of four lives in Twickenham, a highly sought-after area of London.
