“He comes off an injury, he had a relapse. Ansu wants to succeed at Barca, Xavi is determined to give him opportunities. There are players ahead but we must make rotation the norm and not rotate out of necessity as has happened this season.
“It is one of the pending subjects: make a rotation to avoid more injuries. We have Raphinha, Dembele, Ansu, Lewandowski, Abde [Ezzalzouli] and Ferran [Torres]. It’s very nice.”
Speaking earlier this year, Bori Fati said his son rejected his claims that he should change clubs. He told radio station Cope: “When I sat down with Jorge Mendes [Fati’s agent], the first thing he told me was that Ansu wants to stay and will continue playing for Barcelona.
“But I, as a father, thought otherwise, and Ansu doesn’t agree with that.”
